The 59-year-old states that despite his new club's poor start to the season, they can win the Scudetto and believes he cannot set a limit on what they can achieve
The 2010 Champions League winners failed to win any of their opening five games of the season, which resulted in Gian Piero Gasperini losing his job as coach. But they have since tasted victory in two of their three matches under Ranieri, and the former Chelsea, Juventus and Roma coach is certain they can still secure the title.
"For me, as ever, the two teams to beat remain Milan and Inter, with Juve and Napoli just behind us. We must retake this role, because I remain convinced we can still win the Scudetto," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"We are behind, so maybe we may not win, but we must launch ourselves. How can I give limits to a team who won everything two years ago and remain world champions?"
Despite the upturn in form since Ranieri's appointment, Inter sit in 17th place in Serie A, seven points behind early pace-setters Juventus.
